Fight against nasty giant shellfish in this retro top-down shooter.  Explore a twisted coastal swamp, collect different shells to gather different ammotypes for your shotgun, and stay alive.

You play as Pete, an old fisherman who finally works up the courage to come out of his shell and visit a beloved nearby fishing spot for the first time in years.  This time around, things don't go according to plan...

Made by a team of 5 from the University of Dayton Game Development Club as part of the "Club Club Jam Jam," a  four-day game jam with over 100 participating clubs involved from different universities across the United States.  We made this game to interpret the theme, "shell," in multiple ways.  First, the player character's backstory is that he finally comes out of his shell to visit an old fishing spot of his.  Also, we included mutated shellfish/shell-based creatures as enemies in the game.  Finally, we added different ammotypes to the game for the shotgun, but not as traditional shotgun shells.  We used a creative twist and used actual seashells for the ammunition while using visual design language to hint at each type's function (wide radial pattern for scatter-shot, exploding pattern for grenade round)
